Meet Liz

Hiya, I’m Liz.

Choosing a photographer is a big deal. You’re trusting someone to communicate with you throughout your entire wedding day. More importantly, you’re trusting someone to preserve your memories.

I promise to capture those perfect yet fleeting moments that may otherwise be forgotten.

On your wedding day, I will be attentive, organized, and appropriate. It is my goal to make sure you are as comfortable as possible.

I’m honored to know that my work has caught your eye. ❤️️

About Me

I grew up in the southeastern part of the United States. My family moved from Alabama, to Indiana, and finally landed in Augusta, Georgia in 1998. I loved playing in the woods, going to the neighborhood pool via golf cart (a very Augusta thing to do), setting up lemonade stands (an entrepreneur at heart), running through front yard sprinklers, and starting new “clubs” amongst all the cul-de-sac kids.

I’ve had a camera in my hands since high school, but it was my time in college that solidified my future career. I studied photography at the University of Georgia in Athens and earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in 2013. The majority of my studies were within the analog spectrum of photography, working mostly with film and in the darkroom. When I graduated from UGA, I purchased a full-frame digital camera and began photographing weddings.

Following college,  I moved around the East coast, finally landing in Washington, DC in 2015. I established my wedding photography business while getting accustomed to a new city lifestyle. The district has slowly become my home and I relish in my experiences with my DC clients as much as I enjoy being saluted by national monuments each time I cross into city lines.

About My Work

My clients understand the value of education. This means they appreciate my background, but it also means that I have the privilege of photographing some very accomplished people.

I’ve had the opportunity to photograph lawyers, consultants, engineers, teachers, nurses, scientists, artists, veterans, doctors, Capitol Hill staffers, accountants, non-profit leaders, lobbyists, government contractors, web developers, veterinarians, and the list goes on!

My DC clientele appreciate high-end tastes for quality food, presentation, entertainment, and styling.

The most memorable weddings typically include impeccable planning and guest services, personalized details throughout, the highest quality meals, and top-shelf drinks. My brides and grooms value treating their family and friends to a celebration that tastes good, looks beautiful, feels inclusive, and is a special experience for everyone.

I value the generation of my highest caliber work while listening to the precise and individualized needs of each and every client.

My work has been published in Washingtonian Weddings, United with Love, and The Knot. I’ve also earned the title of Wedding Wire Couple’s Choice awarded in 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, and 2020. I’ve also received The Knot Best of Weddings for 2018 and 2019.

Despite these honorable accolades, the thing that rings most true to me and my purpose are the words written in the reviews posted by brides and grooms.
